QC files dont show up

I'm trying to complile a model by following the tutorial here... http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Compiling_Models_Basics

But I cant find any .QC files to refer to.

Anyone know how to make these files show up?

I also don't see any .mdl files only .jpg.

what do u meen u dont see em? u av to make the qc yourself. and an mdl wont show up unless u compile it and u cant compile it if u dont have a qc file lol. if you go into notepad write the qc file and then go to save as and put "myqc.qc" but including the " at the front and end it makes it into a qc file.

There's not one .QC file on my machine!... so keep laughin

There aren't any on my machine.

I get that the mdl will be created after I compile. But where are all the others! Like the ones from Valve!

no .oc files and no .mdl files.

There should be qc files in...

...Steam\SteamApps\username\sourcesdk_content\hl2\modelsrc

well, in some of the subfolders of that directory.

If there aren't then you've not got the complete SDK downloaded.

The Valve .mdl files are in the GCF files, they're no use to you whatsoever besides appearing ingame or in Hammer.
