Quake/UT Sounds, How To Get Them Working?

I've searched several times on these forums and the Mani forums, and by following the instructions that came with the "Quake Sound Pack" on the Mani homepage, I thought I had it aced. Apparently, not.
My common sense told me that since it is an admin plugin, I'd need to host a game to hear the sounds on my end. I extracted the sound pack to hl2mp so the config files went in the config folder and so forth.
I grabbed the actual mani_admin_plugin_V1.1.0zh and took the mani_server.cfg file from it because the readme in the quake_sound_pack.rar mentioned it but didn't contain it. I put in the "exec mani_quake_sounds.cfg" command in it, saved it. The sounds don't work. I have the quake sounds in hl2mp\sound\quake.
Can someone please tell me what I'm missing? A step-by-step guide?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Nevermind, I found a guide for it.
One thing though. Does anyone know of a way to script it so you trigger different sounds based on what weapon you use to kill someone, and even the distance?

Can we get a link to the guide for those who might be looking for the same answers?

And John, two reasons why you'll never be joining my server:
1. I have a Steamless version of Half-Life 2 that has CSS and HL2DM in it also but they can only be played over the LAN.
2. I only let my close friends join my server. I find playing with them to be a lot funner than 20 strangers who just bitch at each other.
