question about Alyx

in many pages and stuff about HL2

looks like the weapon of Alyx is a litle wrench,like the crowbar to gordon
even I heard are a screenshot were be must to be the hands of freeman,are the hands of Alyx whit that wrench

but maybe the answer of all this questions if
Alyx will be the character we will control in one of the expansions of HL2

I doubt it because in all the Half-Life expansions you never meet Gordon Freeman, if you are Alyx it will probably be like a prologue explaining what happened before HL2 starts.

cuz the expansions of HL2 must not be in the same time of the original game right?
the expansions of HL are in the same of the original game cuz maybe it is a good idea
