Hey, this may have been asked before, but I gotta go soon, so I had to make this thread...

The question itself is, will Lost Coast actually have a plot and will you slaughter your way through it or will it just be pretty scenarios and mdoels for you to look at and no real plyability elements?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say..it's a big tech demo. It might have some replay value, but don't expect it to be long.

Didnt they say its pretty short? I mean i couldnt imagine it being all that big for being free

Yeah, I think it's just a short level showing off new technology; I don't think it will have anything to do with the plot. At least, I hope it doesn't because I doubt my comp. will be able to run it.

It's basically just another chapter in the HL2 story. It was cut from the original, but now it's back and is the showcase for the new tech! :D

[SARCASM]The known story from released news tidbits and GCF files is that you wake up washed ashore and meet a fisherman whose town of refugees has been discovered by the Combine. The Combine have now set up a base in a church called "St. Olga." and are now shelling the town with headcrabs. You now have to destroy the headcrab launcher as well as any opposition.[/SARCASM]

I'm pretty sure it's just a level, and not an entire chapter.

But then again, that town on the oceanside does signal some sort of plot.

It was originally supposed to be in the Highway 17 Chapter, and I could swear in some interviews they said it was the Lost Coast chapter... Well it will just be a new level then, at least I got my facts straight. :)
