But what the hell would you all do with it? Waste it, I presume.
Perfectly acceptable, to be honest. I don't sit on a high horse thinking everyone loves me. I am glad they don't, far less pressure.
And, if my death helps out someone who truly needs it, then... it all equals out. It's called being an organ donor.
I'm not selfish, despite what my post makes me sound....I'm just realistic.
Why should it be you? What makes you more needy than someone who is waiting for their son or daughter to arrive at their bedside, but he/she has been held up due to travel delays in an airport far away? That person needs one more day, that's all they want--that one 24 hour period in which to face death with the ones they love. That's a far more noble cause to give my day to. I could give more examples, if you'd like.
Let's make a deal. If that's ever you, let me know. I would give my day immediately. Sincerely.I have a son and daughter ..what makes you think that wont be me ..and I dont know you but I'm probably bigger than you ..so give me your day ..or else
Sorry, two different thought trails merged... let me clarify:
I'd prefer to be an organ donor, knowing in the end, that if nothing else...someone theoretically gets a second crack at life.
Giving up one day of my own, to save humanity? I'm not Jesus Christ. Or whomever you want to believe did such things.
And, what would be gained out of the rest of humanity living one day more? Will they cure cancer in that one day? Will world peace suddently erupt? Will happiness suddenly be infused into every person's very soul?
I doubt it.
