A couple things have always bugged me, not big things, but nevertheless...
Why does the Gravity Gun have the limited ability to manipulate antlions and headcrabs? But I do not believe you can use the GG on a zombie. I thought the regular GG could not manipulate organic matter.

Also, we can see from Nova Prospekt that the HEV suit does have communications abilities. And throughout the game with see various resistance radio posts. Why is there no radio communication throughout the game? Just seems strange that Alyx keeps in contact with you through NP/Entanglement, obviously the resistance has a functional radio network. But you're left completely out of the loop.

It's just for gameplay, there's no need to look too much into it. You could of course argue that maybe it's because they have a hard exo-skeleton. Interestingly at the Laszlow scene there is an antlion's corpse on the sand you can pick up with the gravity gun. This is most likly just an oversight/easter egg.

The rebels just probably just didn't think of it or they can't get your frequency on their radios. But what would they be saying anyway? You get your objectives anyway. BTW, in HL1 it's said that the HEV suit is full of traking devices.

I guess if they are sending to you, then the Combine could track you as well.
