Hey all,

Im a newb when it comes to half-life... i own the platinum collection of half-life, but never really got around to playing HL fully (played a heap of CS with friends though, dont kill me ;)). I never had a decent computer when half-life arrived, and missed the boat so to say... From what i DID play from the platinum pack, I was really impressed by, but time just wasn't on my side... So, ive signed myself up for the collectors edition of HL2 (retail), in order to get HL:Source, so i can finally kick back and enjoy the glory of the first, while feasting on improved source physics and particle effects, as ive become kind of a graphics whore...

Question is, is it safe to completly unistall the original half life, and still have the expansions work correctly? Im not sure if they depend on the original half-life in order to play... But there really is no reason to keep the original version of half-life on my PC, esp. since HL:Source is gonna look and play way better :smoking:

Ok, looking forward to the 16th!!!

Cheers

i use steam for cs really, nothing else (im a poor 56K user in australia...). Ill use it for CS:Source though ;)
