Hi, I'm making my first model after having watched a few tutorials. I got done with the model itself, and um... I screwed up on the textures and need to remove the textures from the model >_>

Gah, i'm 15, I can barely wrap my head around XSI :/

EDIT: Sorry for not mentioning, This is a question about XSI Mod Tool... >_>

Just go into the rendertree and delete the textures you dont want. If its the mapping type you want rid of just select that and delete it. Or if you want to start from scratch just give it a new material.

Do you mean I should remove the Material thing? I didnt actually use a picture for a texture, I was... umm, messing around and went to Render, Modify - Texure then add...

So in the clusters tree should I delete the Materials?

<--- not really entirely positive on what he's talking about.

if its the whole object with one texture you want rid of, just select it and give it a new material. If you've got various polys with different textures, do it via the explorer so you don't overright those.

How do I assign a new material? o_O sorry if I'm asking alot of questions, but I'm very new to all this... So once I apply a new material, it will just show as the normal shaded (like when you're actually building the model)

yep, will just be normal, or like i say just go into the render tree and delete whats in there. back to default, or just replace it with a new one.

One last question before I stop bothering you  How do I open the Render tree? I cant seem to find the option.

<--- Total n00b XD

select the model or polys with the material you want to edit, and press 7

Good call mindless_moder. I'm 17 and have started my own mod. Granted, progress is slow and irratic, but nevertheless it is still being done. You've got to start sometime, so why not now? The younger the better because you have more time to work on (comparatively).

Good luck,
Archvilell
