Heya Forumites!

Just upgrading my computer in the following week, a new CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Vid Card, PSU - This is what I'm getting

Motherboard - Intel DP35DPM P35 Core2Duo and Quad Core 1333Mhz FSB DDR2

CPU - Intel ATX E6750 CORE 2 DUO 2.66GHz/4MB CACHE/1333FSB/LGA775

RAM - 2gig of DDR2 (667mhz)

Vid Card - ATI HD2600XT PCI-E 512MB 128-bit DDR3 Dual Dual Link DVI HDMI/HDCP HDTV Integrated HD Audio Heat

PSU - Power Supply CoolerMaster Real Power 550W Extreme

Now, I have never actually upgraded before, so I just want people's opinions of if this is any good/compatible with each other etc.

I'm a student, so I use word etc, and play games like hl2 ep2, FIFA, Pro Evo, C&C 3 etc not really high intensive games but not basic either

Total cost is around 650 australian dollars

Thanks! :bounce:

EDIT: btw my budget is 700$ (Aus)

1. IMHO, stay away from Intel boards.

2. I think you're spending too much on your CPU in contrast to the rest of your computer.

3. Get DDR2 800, not 667. It's not even really more expensive anymore. I just bought 2 gigs of 800 for 42 bucks on newegg

4. Personally, I would get a different video card, like the new 256 8800 GT or a 3850 or 3870...

Just my opinion, of course...

k ty top secret, but whats the beef with the intel boards?

EDIT: Also, I would like to get the vid cards you specified, but they just escape the confines of my budget
