red line in cl_leveloverview

ok i wasnt 100% sure where to put this thread but this seemed like a good starting place.
anyways to the topic at hand... whenever i enter "cl_leveloverview" into the console i get a thin red line going down vertically about a third of the way across the monitor from the right. Is this some type of glitch or error or is this normal for this view mode? Either way, is there a way to get rid of this line?

thanks that actually helped. changing my resolution to a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution did the trick
