I'm bored, I've got $27 (CDN) and I decided I'll rent a game + get tons of candy.

What game should I rent?

It has to be a PS2 game.

Any advice on what candy to buy also helps.

OMG! I was just thinking skittles!

MGS3.

Matter of fact, you can probably buy Subsistence. It's like 30 or 40 bucks or so. Just save your money for a few days. It's well worth it.

Does Subsistence have good graphics/story/gameplay/replay value/long play-time?

Are you...are you kidding me? You even need to ask that question o_O? This is the Metal Gear Solid series. AND, its a vastly expanded version of the original MGS3. Let me answer your question with a "HELL. YES."

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Cant go wrong with Metal Gear Solid. Then again i never played any but the 1st.
Iv also heard Shadow Of The Colosssus and Devil May Cry are good.

So, Metal Gear Solid Subsistence is MGS3, except with more stuff?

The only Metal Gear game i've played is the first one, when it came out for PS1, good times, good stuff.

Is subsistence all in green shaded colour? I'm looking at screens and thats all it is - green, if so that is really gay, and I don't want it.

Not that, EVERYTHING is in a shade of green, I was looking at cement in a green shade, wtf is that!?!

I was looking at EBGames.com, and a used copy of MGS3: SE is $9.99, so a new copy here will be about $30 - $35, I'll probably just buy MGS3: SE.. Screw subsistence, gay green.

MGS3 is too good for rentals! buy it you heathen!

King Kong, however, can be beaten in about 2 or 3 days at normal pace, and it's not that bad. You should go for that.

Also, skittles rule. :)

If you can find it... rent Psychonauts.

Are....are you retarded :|. There is no universal green tint. Subsistence is 100 times better than regular SE. Buy it.

MGS3 or God of War.

I own God of War, and beat it on hard, really fun and hard as shit game though. I love it.

I ended up buying MGS3 for $25.06, It was used and scratched, so now I have to take it back and get another one, with their "Scratch Protection Guarentee!"

King Kong - a perfect rent.

That's why I voted for it. The others are all better games (although I haven't play Shadow) but take ages and you will feel unfulfilled.

Ooooooh, I see the difference in the 2 MGS3's, just a few extra little bonus crap..
I don't care about extra camo, I don't care about some movie, I don't care about those mini-games, The only thing I want is the game. And the game comes with both of them, so I'll take the cheaper one.

it's not a little extra bonus crap, its a crapload of extra bonus crap. You get the two original MGs that weren't even released in America fully translated, it comes with an entirely new third person camera view that makes it even better to play, a complete run down of the MGS series, detailed...jesus, how can you pass up on this! You might even get the 3 hour DVD movie.

Alas, if only you were a MGS fan, then you'd understand.

I dont know i just voted King Kong cuz the movie (in my opinion) was awesome so u should try the game, see how it is :D

I'll probably end up buying it anyway, when I play a game I like I end up being a huge fan of the game.... I mean, I used to think of the Resident Evil series as just: meh, now I love the RE series, it kicks ass! But thats only because of RE4

If MGS3 is as good as RE4 then I'll probably love the MGS series.

I used to own the first MGS for PS1, but I was to young to understand it and appreciate it, now I really want to play MGS1 but I can't find it... :( so I'll most likely end up loving MGS3..

i was gona say get subsistence as the new camera makes the game alot more enjoyable, the default one(the one in Snake Eater) is a tad frustrating at times...
