Reskinning CSS models.

Hey,

I'm an unexpereinced guy and I'm learning to texture and stuff, but I don't know exactly where to start. i have experience with 3dsmax as a modeller aswell, and some Photoshop experience. The problem is, I can't find the M16 UV-maps. Í've searched every folder looking for the map, but I just can't find it. Can someone tell me where I can get it, and how I get started easily. Also, how can I convert .mdl to .3ds so I can render in 3dsmax instead of hl2mv?

I imagine it'll be in one of the .gcf files. I couldn't tell you where though. You can browse the gcf's using GCFScape

You can't convert .mdl to .3ds, but you should be able to decompile the .mdl to .smd, which you can get imprort into 3dsmax using a plugin at this site.
