i wanna play hl2 on hi defenition but when i switch it on my desktop iconns go all tiny and stuff....why...can i stop this.... i kno it should be on tech support but no one answers ....plz dont shout at me.....

When you say "hi definition" i'm guessing you're meaning high resolution. When you change the resolution of your desktop to a higher state, the icons will appear to be smaller.

If you want to see a higher definition IN Hl2, you should change the resolution IN HL2 to a higher one (1024x768, etc, etc, 1280x1024, etc). The models will look clearer in HL2 then.

Also, if you increase the AntiAliasing in your Hl2 settings, there will also appear to be higher definition in the game.


Sounded to me like you were just changing the desktop resolution. So i say again, change the resolution in HL2, that way your desktop icons wont be affected by the change. If your desktop icons are affected, then somethings gone wrong with hl2 and it hasnt restored your display to the normal desktop resolution. you'll have to consult the readme or something in that case.
