retreve my CD Key

Here is the situation,
I bought "1 month ago" HL2 from Ebay and downloaded the game and the game runs fun. I want to sign in with Stream so i can play multiplayer but i can not find the CD Key. What should i do ??? How can i retreve the CD Key. Is it saved some where on my HL2 folders ???? Please help

First of all, you CANNOT play the game without the cd key, second of all, dont buy steam games from ebay, its probably used, and wtf? how did you play without enering the cdkey?

I believe the CD key comes printed on the little envelope containing the CD. If you don't have the packaging (whether you downloaded or not), you can't play, and shouldn't have been able to install either.

How many topics do you need to make about this? You should never have bought the game over ebay (if you really did), so you're on your own now. Valve won't help you and neither will ebay.

You dont have a legal copy, you cannot play online unless you purchase a copy.
