Return of Alyx-needs a good storyline!!

Alyx Instinct is a Half-Life 2 total conversion. Utilizing the Source engine to create a new world and features.

Alyx Instinct is the continuation of Half-life 2,but in this modification you play as Alyx and it will have and a lot new features. This modification requires Half-Life 2 to play.Valve is not involved with the development of this mod.

Features of Alyx Instinct modification:

* Realistic effects and models using the engine to the limits
* A new collection of weapons
* The gameplay will make to seem that you are in the game.
* Realistic damage.(headshot=kill and a shot on other part take a lot more damage)
* New Modes

-Sniper Rifle

Alyx Instinct development team is urgently looking for a person that can make an enjoyable story, the story must be an adventure with Alyx before Half-Life 2. The person have to write without mistakes.

Suggestions to the storyline are welcome too.

This isn't suppose to be the "real" Half-Life 2 continuation, it's more like an 2nd alternative. So I think it isn't illegal or something, but if it is I will stop modding it immediately.

It shouldn't be illegal because it's just a mod based off of the characters. That's like saying you can't make a mod where Gordon Freeman is the player's character.

In other news.

I lol'd. You should really work on pimping what you've got, and without a solid storyline, your mod's entire purpose is flawed. I doubt that you're going to find anyone who wants to step up and try to compete with Valve and make a better story for a HL2 expansion. =P

Maybe you should do a TC about an adventure with Alyx before Half-Life 2. That's a lot more open, and you'll probably find more willing people.

You are trying to make a mod of stuff that happened to Alyx BEFORE HL2. Thats fine.

But why on earth would you call that "The Return of Alyx?"

It's not like she's returning to anything is it? More like the beginning of alyx or something.

Either way it seems like a large undertaking to simply muse about. He's gonna need to get down to some serious writing if he wants to pull this off.

In all honesty, a storyline centering around Alyx probably isn't a good idea right now. HL2's storyline is fairly well-defined, and Aftermath is coming out in two months. There's not a whole lot of leeway as far as plotting out Alyx's story, especially when we don't yet know what she does directly after HL2.

I would prefer if your story focused on a character that isn't central to HL2. A Combine soldier, a Vortigaunt, a civilian, anyone or anything other than characters that Valve is actively writing/developing.
