I can't imagine what all 3 extended editions in a row would be like. :|

seriously, you HAVE to watch the extras. i have the first two films on special edition, and the extras are amazing. there is so much, and they go into so much detail. best extras on any DVD.

I bought it today...with the statue/box. At 4 hours it still seems too short. Just like the book. Much better than the haphazard short version. And I'm still fresh, hell, I'm even looking forward at a couple of LOTR Marathons this Winter.

Im definatly getting the extended version for Christmas
I cant wait, the directors commentary is great on the 2 so far... it really fleshes out how they made it and what they think of scenes and explaining them, lighting, sound, etc. Truely fantastic.

I was going to buy it but my mother turned up about 5 hours ago with the collectors edition box to go with the other 2 i have... an added bonus is that she bought me The battle for middle earth PC game too!

This comming tuesday my residence will be having a Lord of the Rings Marathon. All three extended editions in a row, it will definately be a nice break from exams which are currently happening.

I can't wait to see how long I can last before having to go to the bathroom.

I saw the ultimate collectors edition today :x That thing is heavy...really, really heavy.

I think they meassure the length of it in days and not hours...
