Reviews coming but no gold date?

That's remarkable! I also heard that there are rumors that it wioll still come out in late November. Why would a magazine review something that has not even gone gold yet?

If the game is not yet gold, that means there is actually still time for them to change minor balance things that the reviews criticized: for instance the flashlight/sprint thing. I myself still am not sure exactly what the complain was there, but the point is that since it's neither a major feature nor a bug nor even a major change, it could easily be done.

But that seems sort of weird. The mags are clearly playing a release candidate, not a final release.

This is a similar situation to when Doom 3 went gold. I think we could hear a gold announcement around October 5

If it went gold soon, we should see it sometime in october. The lawsuits are probably causing the delay. Either way, i'm very dissapointed that there is even the possibility of a november release...I HAVE NO PATIENCE ANYMORE
