Good point, the CS models have always bugged me by flipping all the stuff on all the weaponsSir Phoenixx said:Looks good, I guess...
And while you're at it, take their model and flip it so the ejection port, shell deflector, and the forward assist are on the right side where they're supposed to be.

Yeah, it's the "wow, they're flipped for no good reason" factor.its just to add a wow factor to the weapon ...
Not being able to see a very simple and small animation wouldn't make the game boring, that's just rediculous.putting it on the right would make things boring honestly

Other then them trying to show something off (that isn't even worth showing off at all), there is no reason to have them flipped.
I recently read a book about S.W.A.T. and I saw a lot of them carrying CAR-15 with light grey color front body and with dark black stock...which is totllay different from the orginal one in CS:SRecoil said:...and why the name 'SWAT'?
Pi Mu Rho said:However, the original modeller for CS didn't make the models for CS:S, so that no longer applies. It was done for purely aesthetic reasons.
You don't pull the forward assist...pulling the charging handle isn't more boring than pulling the forward assist.

The animation in CS does.
Recoil said:It's wrong.
lol... So was the animator high or something when he did the reloading animations? The animation in CS does.
gkanga said:Yeah, in real life you push the forward assist to help clear a jam, but regardless of what you do in real life, the animation in CS PULLS the forward assist, it seems like you haven't seen it or something? I don't know why Gooseman did that, I guess he didn't know how to operate an M4 and just took a guess as to what that lever on the side did, but it's been that way since the very first alpha release of CS. And I think that whoever did the CS:Source animation duplicated it to be consistent with the original, not so that it looks better. Same thing with the mirrored models. Gooseman is left handed, so are all of his models, and they were correct (aside from the animation). When the models were mirrored to be on the right side, they became incorrect. I think this was kept in CS:Source, again, to be consistent with the original, not to look better.
