Savage 2

I really liked the first game, improved melee system, riding and proper walls and gates makes it seem that the next instalment will be at least as good IMO.

I just hope they add falling damage this time :P

I dont understand..

What type of game is this? RPG? MMORPG? An age of empires type of game... what?

FPS/RTS hybrid (they are the first retail game to ever do that I believe).

Anyways it looks pretty good. It doesnt have a very good animation blending system though. :(

It looks like it will be tons of fun though! :D

They are a four man team (it was originally seven, but 3 of them went off to do Project Offset).

Probubly like the first one: An RTS/FPS hybrid with a leveling system.

Isn't the first Savage free now? Any links for the download?

No, it's not free.

It's just that they turned off the CD Key authentication system, so you don't need a legal CD Key to play.

It's still not free though.

Wow. Ive never heard of the first, but an RTSRPG sounds amazing. It looks amazing too. What platforms?

And Onager, the teaser was in third person.

Platforms? Its just for the PC.

IIRC, the first Savage was third person when you had a melee weapon ready, first person when you had a ranged weapon ready and top down in commander mode.

Damn, my PC is crazy old. I hoped it'd be out on xbox 360 or something. I almost definately would get it then.

Looks good but I am more excited to what the Offset guys pull off.

Uprising was similar, but instead of calling it FPS, it was more of a tank simulator

I didnt realize its only online. Oh well. I'd envisioned something morrowind-like in scope, literally bulding your empire as you go, one town, settlement, or fort at a time, leading massive armies against massive armies, where you fight and command at the same time, and actually having the battles count, collecting enemy armor as spoils, or losing a strategic piece of land.

Edit: Despite my disapointment, i tried it and it was fun. Just not very good at it. Probably shouldnt have been a commander in my second game.

Yea, the netcode is kinda poop so the combat isn't so easy.

the patches have helped it alot, and considering it was a new group of devs the game is quite impressive/fun
