Save File Question

I have two people playing different HL2 Single Player games on my PC and am concerned about running out of Save File space since it seems to only have a limited amount of file save space and apparently no way to name files to distinguish them from each other beside time stamps. If one person plays more than the other, concerned the other persons saves will drop or be pushed off the Load Screen.

Hope this newbie is making sense....

The only limit would be how much space you have on your ard drive. It is extremely unlikely you would ever run into a savegame limit.

Thanks guys! I got the impression HL2 had a rolling stack of Save Files but must be my false impression.

I do believe quick saves and auto saves get recycled, but if you save manually, you can save as many times as you want.

I just thought that needed clarification.

I suspected that manual save was the "safe" way and will do it that way.

I have saved ALOT of times, but in my SAVE folder there are only 18 save-files. 2 quicksaves, 2 autosaves and 14 others...wierd..(I'm one of those who save around each corner)

so is it possible to load a old saved file from the hl2 directory then, rather from the games load screen??

I heard from my friend that 99 saves was the limit. You can always make a separate folder tho.
