I've found a serious problem in the "Lowlife" level. I've just completed the part where you have to fight a bunch of zombies while waiting for the elevator. Then I get on the elevator, and get a loading screen.

OK... problem is, it never loads. I waited 15-20 minutes, and nothing happens. So I restart the computer and try again. No luck. I delete all my save games, and reinstall the game. I end up playing the entire game up to that point again, but no luck. In fact, during the last couple tries, it actually seams to have gotten worse.

My entire screen gets pixelized, like all the pixels have been rearanged in some really weird way. I've tried getting a screen shot to demonstrate what this is, but I can't seam to.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I've tried everything I can think of, and I just can't play the game. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried letting your graphics card rest before you continue to play?

Based off what you have described, it sounds, to me, like what your getting are graphics artifacts, which can often come from either an overclocking job gone wrong, or your card is overheating.

I suppose the overheating is a possibility. I can usually play for several hours (on the few occasions that I do) without any problem like this, and I still got the same problem after I restarted the computer. Is there anything else I need to do other than just not use the computer for awhile to let the graphics card rest?

What videocard is it? Some newer ones have temperature monitor software. Alternatively, you can download some to monitor your card's temperature.

Restarting the computer doesn't cool the card off. It needs idle time to cool, ideally, you want your PC off. If you play up to the elevator sequence, save, turn your PC off, come back in an hour and can play fine from there, then the videocard overheating was your problem.

If your video card has a fan (most newer cards do), you may want to check if it's working properly. May also want to check temperatures without the computer cover. Anyhow, if overheating is a suspected cause, you need to monitor your temperatures.

If it still doesn't load you just can start the next chapter the lift scene is the last on lowlife... if you start the next chapter you'll st
art from where you finished off...:)
