*Shakes Fist* Stuck on gunship on Highway 17

Hey people.

It might my lack of skill but I'm stuck at the gunship on Highway 17.

I don't need a solution as such but can anyone give me some tips on how to take it out.

Jump across the Bridge...

Are you at the broken bridge? If so, jump across by using turbo mode. Once you get across the bridge, you should be able to figure out a way to smoke the gunship...

Turn the difficulty to easy, take it out with some well placed shots, and then turn difficulty back to your former one.

Just hit it with rockets. Never try and hit the gunship dead on with a rocket, it'll shoot it down, so you need to circle the rocket around. Always find a supply of rockets to fight the gunship, you'll need them.

If I may add a thought:

A game like Half-Life, I play for the story, not for some nasty places I can't get through because some guy claims that if you play on whatever difficulty and use your suit and healthpacks you're a pussy.

It just get's really frustrating you know.

Listen for the guship shooting while you crouch behind some cars. Right when it stops shooting, chage at it and fire. It takes a second for it to be able to start shooting again. Also, the closer you are to it, the easier they are to hit.

I played through on normal, and I think it took about four hits with the RPG to take a gunship out.

How many on easy? Two?

:dozey: The whole game is easy overall... I don't understand how you can have trouble defeating enemies. All you need to do is find out which weapon is most effective to a type of enemy. Use that weapon. Find cover, plenty of ammo, and fire your shit away.

when you get to the car wreck road block there's a blue mini-van in the middle of the road, which has an unlimited supply of rockets...use this van for cover, it's both bigger than the other cars and that way you will be able to get the rockets without leaving your cover...

I've found out that the most effective way to take out the gunships is to go for cover, then fire a rocket straight up into the air(the gunships have a hard time shooting upwards...) when the gunships stops shooting at you and starts to concentrate on the rocket you fired, you exit you cover and aim at the gunship, the rocket will slam down into the gunship from above without it having a chance to shoot it down....as soon as the rocket goes boom you fire the next one straight into the air....rinse and repeat. hope that helps.
