shooting down the helicopter in riding shotgun

hi
im having problems with the riding shotgun level...im at the part where i got out of the vehicle and i was stopped by someone and he asked me to help shoot the helicopter down...the problem is i keep shooting it and the others but it wont go down....i find weapons then shoot it a little then find more guns and shoot it plus i have to avoid those bombs the helicopter launches...am i supposed to keep shooting here cause ive been at this like an hour and its not goin down...i need a clue here to shoot it down...i dont see a way to get it down...im stumped

You have to throw its mines back at it

That should solve your problem. You can't kill it with ordinary ammunition.

The only things that are programmed to destroy a hunter chopper are mines and the airboat gun, neither work on GMod, the mines are crap and the game freezes if u try to enter an airboat while a helicopter is around

Rockets also kill hunter choppers

But you don't have infinite amount of that. In fact, you don't even have it at all

Anyway, RPGs cannot take down hunter choppers, they can only damage the wing (on fire stage) then they do no damage at all.

The Lost Coast chopper is programmed to act like a Gunship though.

Nevertheless, it's true. Rockets always damage Hunter-Choppers, it takes lots of them to actually take one down.

Lostcoast one is completely a gunship, just with the chopper model on and the sounds removed.
