As everyone knows, HL2 is coming out on the XBOX. But wouldnt it be better just to release it a few months later on the XBOX 360?? They are saying how hard it is to fit all of HL2's Content on one XBOX disc and they are working hard to get it to run smoothly with good graphics. But Wouldnt it be great to have a console version of HL2 that could actually COMPETE with the PC version?? Instead of just having a dumbed down piece of crap with ok graphics and ok resolution?? In my opinion it would work so much better on the 360 because of better technology and more disc room! HL2 Would be great on the 360! If you've seen screens of games such as "Gears Of War" for 360, that almost has Better graphics than HL2 for the PC!! Also, IF they put HL2 on the 360, the graphics and resolution would be top noch, and best of all, THEY COULD FIT XBOX LIVE MULTIPLAYER ON IT!!! AHHHHH!!! BACK SPASM!!!

There'll be a lot of PC owners out there who enjoyed HL1 but their PCs aren't good enough to run HL2. Likewise there'll be a lot of XBox owners out there that are jealous that we get so many more great games to play and would love to enjoy Half-Life 2.

Valve are doing it because it's what most people want. There's nothing to stop Valve/Microsoft from releasing it on the XBox 360 as well.

Well, im not liking the way Microsoft is goin and how they are releasing ports from PS2 and XBOX to the XBOX 360. Isnt it backwards compatible anyway?? So whats the point?

If they just put HL2 on it the graphics wont *magically* increase from the Pc version.

Yes, I know but they could have more time to WORK ON IT SO IT COULD BE!!

I'd rather they concentrate on TF2, HL2:A and HL3 for that matter than waste time on a 360 version.

Yep totally agree with ya, although they didn't really think HL2 for the xbox threw well in my opinion.

Err you know that current PC graphics are far better than the Xbox 360's right?

True. Look at the lost coast screenshots. They're on par with the 360 already.

The only graphic engine that may compete with Half-Life 2's, is DooM's. And still, facial animation is by far the best in the gaming world.

Again- I know, but I think 360 would be able to handle Hl2 almost or just as good as the PC.

If you know so much, you would know it would be a waste of time for them to switch over, the game has been in production WAY before the 360 was publically known about. Plus VALVe mainly does only PC games so they can update whenever they want+add more content.

Consoles have most always been far better, graphics wise, than PCs on the year of their release. It's much easier to build a game specifically for one console, because you know exactly the kind of fps you'll get with any system in any specific area of the game, so it can be optimized much easier. You COULD have a PC game with graphics better than anything the xbox360 could put out, but no one would buy it because the video cards would be too expensive.
