Does anyone know how to take sounds directly from the game (like voices) and edit them?

use gcfscape to extract the sounds from the source sounds gcf and you can edit them with a wave editor like audacity

Ok but how can I slow them down? I used audacity to slow down music but that feature didnt show up when I imported the .gcf files to it.

if you want to slow them down without causing the pitch to become really low, you need to use a technique known as "time scaling"

google for a program to help you

EDIT: Make sure you're importing the wav/mp3's from INSIDE the gcf, not the gcf itself. A gcf is like a zipfile

you can do it in audacity, select the whole waveform and click effect/change tempo. audacitys plugins arent great so if it doesnt do the job well enough check the audacity site for links to other plugins.
