Smashball Released

Good. I'll keep up then.
I tried this tonight. While the playerbase are annoyingly competitive, this can be expected of a game that seems to be built around leagues and competitions.
It's fun, though.
One flaw that bothers me. Spawn positions seem to be completely random. Really gets on my tits. If you choose halfback, you probably want to defend, you know? so don't spawn me at the middle area where the ball spawns! Likewise, if you choose forward, you want to get to the ball quickly, yet if you end up spawning next to the goalie you quickly lose track of the ball's position (it tends to move fast once it gets in people's hands) and you wind up wondering why you chose forward.

The goalie always spawns in front of the goal. Everyone else spawns based on whether they just scored or not. When the round starts, everyone spawns back in their goal room. When a team gets scored on, they spawn in the ball room so that they can get the ball first and try to score. When a team scores, they spawn in their goal room so that the other team can get the ball.

ah, right, okay. fair enough.
l4d stopped me from playing this :( pity, it was awesome.
