I find it kind of odd that Valve were at one point actually considering that amount of weapons. It's pretty OTT.

I remember the videos of the inventory system, where they were trying to manage how many of those weapons you could carry. "Drop shotgun, pick up RPG to fight gunship. Drop RPG, pick up shotgun." Very CS-like.

On a related note to how many weapons the game was supposed to have, remember when it was supposed to have fifty different enemies? There aren't even that many described in Raising the Bar. Makes you wonder where all those other creature designs went...

Yeah I want to cut out the weaponspace and implement one large weapon, one medium weapon, and three small weapon carry limits.

50 is the most whacky and ridiculous number of enemies ever.
