im glad i didnt buy a 9800 pro...and i wont buy a 9900 either......they are not enough of an improvement over a 9700pro for me to justify upgrading.

no....i was planning on waiting for a 9800 pro a while before they came out...but i decided to get a 9700pro when i saw a good prcie for it.
and i couldnt stand my Gf3 any more
Im not to disapointed with my decision is what i mean....the improvements arent that great.
but when we see the r400 and r420 ..ill consider dropping some major cash on one of those

Its actually rather old speculations, I saw the same on rage3d weeks ago... And they have said that it will have "hundreds of millions" of transistors
It sure sounds like a beast.
My only problem when reading is that the NV40 seems to become a far worse beast (some really amazing numbers), but if they follow the speed trend... It would be just as overgrown and ineffective as the entire FX line.

If you would have said it about the NV3x or NV4x I'd be stomped, as I only know the NV36 is coming and the NV40 is 4 times faster (well, rumour).
