also I downloaded the demo on a bittorent thing,and the file was it 100% it still can be move from the incomplete carpet,do that will affect it?

Hmm... you need atleast 512 of RAM and a descent Vcard, and never forget... a 1GHz processor could work. that's all... I think.

Hmmm... no. HL2 cant possibly run on a 256MB ram memory... unless you have a powerful processor and video card. it should work fine.

can't possibly? It WILL run on 256 mb of ram (i've done it), but not without HD thrashing which = stuttering. I wouldn't bother even trying it with anything less.

I run it on a 1 Ghz Athlon, 256 MB SDRAM, and Geforce 4 Ti4600 128 MB. On pretty low settings I don't really notice that much stuttering, except when I get to a new level, but then I just run around turning in all directions to load everything first. Though I don't have very good framerates, probably around 15-30 most of the time. But it's certainly playable.

It works with 265mb RAM.

My PC is an exemple of it. The processor is a 2.0 and I have a Intel Onboard video card (64mb).

You dont need a super PC to run Half-Life 2, of course when you upgrade it, is a totaly different game XD.

If you close every program, I guess you would still run it.

An upgrade is always recommended though.

it works fine except it slows don a bit in huge battles

I got a 1.7 ghz computer and 256 mb ram and a 9600 Xt so dont post crap if you dont know what youre talking about.
