Wow, that is awesome. I think electric is certainly a wave of the future, but it has it drawbacks too. Ozone. Imagine the millions of poluting batteries to dispose of when they die, they would somehow have to be recycled. I think the better way to go is the use of hydrogen, very clean, highly efficient, with only a byproduct of water.

There is one electric car out there a guy built that is quicker in the quarter mile then any high end production gas machines, including the fastest European expensive junk. It will go 150 miles on one charge. There is a video of it somewhere on youtube.:O

Hydrogen is a horrible fuel. Too difficult to make without oil and is explosive.

yes and if we resolve ourselves to that kind of attitude we're going to make absolutely no progress in the field . with time we will improve our methods of extraction and make it a commercially viable source. as for the volatility of hydrogen ....no shit sherlock thats why we use fuels for combustion.

Why not just use prairie dogs for fuel?

Hydrogen technology isn't a fuel, we don't have reservoirs of hydrogen anywhere on the Earth, it's just another less efficient battery. You take electricity, use hydrolysis to make hydrogen and then compress it (the part that takes the most energy). Then you turn it back into electricity and use that electricity to run a motor. The only advantage of hydrogen is its high energy density compared to any battery we have now.

This. Should have been less esoteric.

Precisely.
