Space leaders work to replace lunar base with manned asteroid missions

I don't live in USA, so excuse me if this is ignorant, but from Americans I have talked too, the FDA is a lump of shit.

I've never noticed any issue with them I don't think. They're pretty good at keeping nasty shit out of the market.

In economically viable areas of interest. Other scientific pursuits would stagnate. Science must not be commercialized (completely).

And yet pure science is little better, especially when its generally a glorified satalite deployment and maintenance service at the whim of a budget.

I think we can all agree that while complete commercialization is undesirable, the status quo is leaving allot to be desired, and while nothing can take from NASA's achievements and benefits, it cannot be expected to be the sole face for American and western space exploration. Sooner or later business will get involved by the sheer pull of untapped resources.

Dunno. It was mostly people complaining that it all gets caught up in buracracy, and so takes ages to get onto the market.
