I am just getting absolutely sick and tired of coming into this forum and a bunch of morons posting spoilers, fake or not, in the forums in innocent threads and unmarked threads. There are enough mods on this board for there to be at least a few of them on here at any one time, and reading through every post, and they just aren't getting rid of the posts at all, banning anyone or they do it days after.

Could you mods at least try to looks as if you are dealing with the people who post spoilers, fake or not, i have spent £80 on a game that i have been looking forward to for 6 years and i am not having a bunch of idiots come in and ruin it for me, even if that means i need to leave until after i have completed the game.

I read a spoiler, oh shit, the game has been ruined for me, let's report them. And i think 99% of the members who surf this site don't even know what the report button is or where it is located.

And could there be a mod at least in the irc channel that knows how to ban someone without thinking about it for 5 minutes.

I've stopped playing any online games until I have HL2. People have been joining some of the servers I play on with their names as spoilers. One I know was a true (semi big) spoiler, the others... well big ones if they were true. I hope they weren't otherwise the ending is blown for me :/

The only reason some of this is "spoiler" material is you already know to much about the game anyway.

I understand everyones dedication to the game but its just that, a game. It happens with all other types of media. If you go to a forum about the next "SuperMovie" guess what you might see.

It is something that the mods can only fix by running around and putting out fires.

Best course of action. Report. Then (and I know this is hard for a lot of you) DO NOT POST IN THE THREAD. Keep about your business like nothing has happened.

O and PM me the thread so I can see the so called spoiler.

If you're that concerned about spoilers, stay away from the rumour and HL2 discussion forums, or only visit them when the moderators are browsing around and not during GMT night-time.

Actually, you'd be amazed at how many spoiler threads and posts the mods DO delete. They just simply can't delete them all! it's impossible. And if you haven't heard, there are a few scripts around that take over your cookies and posts spoilers on this message board with topic titles that are completely mondane.
