Just bought two new DVD's for my collection, but i think ill save them for sunday ( boring day ).
Pretty old movies but im hoping they are good. Stalingrad got about 7,4 at IMDB and Massacre in Rome, hmm 5-6 something.
whats your opinion about these two films.

stalingrad is good,i hope you got the subtitled version

Stalingrad is great. No, wait, brilliant. It makes me wonder why I complain about a bit of cold weather and winds when the Russians and Germans were bogged down in the middle of it all while being shelled from all angles.

Never seen Massacre of Rome, but enjoy Stalingrad!

I watched it without the subtitles, It was alright dubbed over but the English over the German is off in some spots.

watch it in german with subtitiles.

watching it dubbed in english ruins the experience somewhat.

I'll keep that in mind when I next watch it, which'll most likely be next week sometime.

yeah i have 'cross of iron'(thats what its called rocker),its ok,i have the book too,the book is great, the film is pretty tough stuff and it has a great anti-war message in it,its directed by sam peckinpaph who uses his slo-mo effect to great use here, worth a look, das boot too

just saw Massacre in Rome, or parts of it. got bored after one hour :(

Stalingrad is a great war movie. I must see it again soon, haven't watched it in a while.

Enemy at the Gates had a good take on what happened in Stalingrad but its still one of those historically innacurate big budget movies. But its still quite interesting. We watched the first 10 minutes in history.

Yeah, the Enemy At The Gates attack on Stalingrad was great. It actually showed the main charge and the boat landing and such. Good film, must see it again soon.
