Steam Client Update Question

I re-installed Half-Life 2 retail on the 2nd Jan 05 and play in 'offline' mode. I lost my Steam account in Dec because I did not connect to Steam for more than a month.

What I'd like to know is am I going to lose my Steam account again? Or has the Steam Client Update automatically downloaded the FIXED OFFLINE MODE FAILING AFTER NOT CONNECTING TO STEAM FOR MORE THAN A MONTH fix when I re-installed?

The most I can tell you is that I no longer need the disc in the drive to play and that the Steam icon in the taskbar is a different design.

You shouldnt lose your account for not playing for a month, thats just weird, i had no idea that happened. Im sure it doesnt :O

He means that offline mode dies after a month.

Yes, this has since been fixed.

The different Steam logo in the tray probably means a game's updating.
