steam downloading something big ?

Steam has been downloading for like 30 min now at 150kb/s .. whats going on here, it was up to date yesterday, on steampowered it only says its getting ready for the HL2 purchase through steam.. cant be over 100mb..

i cancelled the preload a month ago

It did this with me for some reason. It automatically downloaded the Counter-Strike: Source files by itself (even though I didn't pre-load it). You can't stop the download for some strange reason and it only downloads the CS:S files not the HL2 files.

You have to wait about 1 and half hours approx until it finishes. I couldn't figure how to stop it, anyone know?

The icon changes in your system tray (hass dotted line) and also right click on the icon and select Monitor.

when i check the monitor is keeps saying "scanning" so i dont even know what im downloading.. this is just stupid... cant even play CS anymore because the download is taking up all my bandwidht ( 240kb/s )

it stopped... i guess i was the first one to download the big update.. i didnt see a post here on on the steam forums about the download, it was just the update for half life 2...
