Quick question.

Since HL2 isn't sold in Bronze/Silver/Gold versions anymore, and instead as individual titles and bundles, does purchasing HL2 alone (39.99$) give you access to CSS and HL2DM as well, or do you have to purchase all of them?

Yeah, but it doesn't really clarify things.

The thing is, in the past, CSS/HL2DM went hand-in-hand with HL2. If you had HL2, you had those games. From how the steam site now presents it, it seems like they *wouldn't* be included with vanilla HL2 anymore. Is this correct?

The prices are higher now arnt they?

I bought silver for 59.99 and you cant get that good of a deal now!

And I believe you have to buy them seperate.

It didn't know that Silver and Gold aren't sold anymore :O

Goes to show what an awesome deal steam silver was. The same package now costs 80 bucks (silver was 60). The package that costs 60 now has all the new source-stuff, but not the "back catalog". The cheapest package only contains hl2 + lost coast.

Allthough the $60-pack is still a decent deal I kinda feel sorry for those that missed silver. The cheapest package doesn't even list hl2:dm. If that is true then that is pretty f**king weak.

Wonder if EA had anything to do with this.

Why would they? VALVe has 100% complete control over their products and how much they sell on Steam. Unlike when they were with VUG.
