steam says HL2 isn't installed?

Hi all, I haven't played HL2 in a while and went to play today, and steam says the game isn't installed, even though it is.

I don't mind reinstalling but I can't remember what I had to go through to get it licensed and activated, and I don't know if it's gonna give me hell about putting my cd key in again

Should I just reinstall? did this happen to everyone at some point?

edit: by the way, right now steam is downloading all sorts of crap, I have no idea what..

It said the same for me and was also downloading a lot of stuff that I had no idea about. After I gave it time it finished its downloading and Half-Life2 was listed as 100% updated and playable again. I think it was just a little bug that occurs while it starts updating and then fixes itself once its finished.

However it still lists my account name as %account% in the steam window :| . I'm just waiting for the Lost Coast to finish downloading before I restart Steam and see what happens.

Yeah, that might be a better suggestion. I had that same problem, I just hit install for all my games and it picked up that it was installed already everytime. No hassles either way.
