Steam upgrade packages?

Many of us including me has bought bronze version without clearly thinking it over. Now, I can't play Dod:s or Hl:s. I was wondering if anybody was in the same boat as me. Any ideas on when the upgrades are getting implemented?

Not sure about DoD: S, but it seems HL: S is the same exact game as HL1 (from the posts I have read at least).
