Steam Username

I bought HL2 wen it just came out, but when i bought it i was pretty busy and didnt have time to play it so i let my dad play it...........He registered on Steam with his own username, and ever since then i just put it onto my PC and played away using his username + password but now i want to change the username to my own, is this possible? or are you only allowed 1 username per CD key? or 1 username per PC

Once a CD key is registered on a Steam account, it's permanently bound to that account.
