Steam wildly downloading

My Steam has widly started pre-loading games without me asking for it, a week ago it downloaded CS:S, and it wasn't that much of a deal (i could finally play Gmod 9!) - but when checking my Games list now, i appear to have pre-loaded DOD as well.

Does anyone have any idea why it's doing this? It's not like i have anything against it, but it's filling my hard drive.

You seem to have installed them somehow. Right-click each and select "uninstall".

I do believe there is name button known as "uninstall" but there is one as "Delete local game cache"

I'd more like to know why it's doing it.
