It's not very often Steam Workshop updates are big or significant enough to make news, but today's update is a little different, introducing a bunch of useful new features and ways to view community-created content.

The voting queuing system used for the yearly Saxxy Awards and Steam Greenlight has been added to workshop pages, allowing users to generate a unique queue which will progressively move from one item to the next while voting. This should make voting far easier than before, as users can simply click from item to item without having to exit back our to the main page.

The new queues were introduced alongside new, uniquely themed homepages which are able to more intelligently list different types of content, such as items uploaded under certain criteria, items recently officially accepted into a game, popular merchandise, and popular custom gamemodes. While most pages share similar options, such as friend favourited items or those from followed authors, each workshop has its own specific layout dedicated to the kinds of content specific for that game, such as maps for CS:GO, custom gamemodes and item sets for Dota 2, weapons for Team Fortress 2, and mods and campaigns for Left 4 Dead 2.
Other smaller changes made with the update include more robust viewing options for popular items over three-month, six-month and twelve-month periods, and extra tags for viewing "Most Subscribed" content, so check out the update announcement post for more details. Be sure to take a look at the Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Left 4 Dead 2 workshop pages to see these new changes for yourself.
