He was a big part of Animal Planet. It's animal planet hosting the memorial event, not some news station or something.

What is the problem, if animal planet wants to pay tribute to one of their own?

Last time I recalled Steve Irwin basically made the channel a success with his shows, if it wasn't for him that channel probably wouldn't be around.

Steve Irwin was a great man. He saved animals, he made donations to less fortunate countries, etc.

He was a god among men. I'll be watching.
