still cannot play single player after three hours trying to install

can anybody tell me why i have wasted so much time trying to install a game that will not play for me ... after over three hours and 2 re installs still nothing ... what happened to the days where you bought a game and took it home , installed it and played it , not anymore, .. maybe time to switch to console games ... cannot even get tech support ... .. any suggestions out there .. thank : M

Perhaps if you detail what the problem is..

Is it a problem installing or registering to play? If installing, do you get an error? How far through the install do you get? what OS/ h/w etc?

It is was a pain in the back side to register on the 16th 'cos so many people tried at the samed time. No known problems now though.

Enjoy playing halflife2 on a console... ;-)

Yes. That might help. Citing vague "installation issues" and requesting help isn't going to cut it. What happens?

"Back in the day", games had a lot more compatability issues then they do now.

maxwellca, if you can't get the game to work then you're computer is broken. don't blame the game because it works for the huge majority.
