You know the part were u go to the checkpoint early in the game? (Chapter 1 point insertion) Then Barney Calhoun (Your drinking buddy from Black Messa) takes you (Gordon) in and you meet the doctor (Kleiner). After the "beer" talk the a metro cops decides to check up on Barney to see how the interrogation process is going, then Barney tell you that you have to go and opens a door for you to go through. Now my question is what excuse does Barney use to get out of his predicament; when the metro cop sees Barney is all byhimself and there is no one inside the interrogation room with him anymore. He cant say much in my opinion. He could say that "ummm he beat me up..." the only logical scenario is that he(Barney) let him go. Why? Because the doors were locked Gordon did not have any security clearance to open the doors and the cameras were down (conveniently). Contemplate on that for a while. I have another question to ask but I'll ask it after I hear your opinions :)

If Barney killed the combine guard, and hid him in the back, I think there would be no worries.

barney probably killed them, note that you never see barney in his "fake job" after your first meeting.

If you kill a metro combine U would hear that woman's voice saying that the guy went down. Thye have like tracers imlanted in their suites.

You're assuming the metro cop that left was the same one that came pounding on the door. (which it wasn't)

From the looks of the place I would imagine alot of people go in but never come back out except for the sloshy ride in the bucket anyways.

But he does say he has to get back on his shift in Kleiner's lab. And while there he is still worried about his cover.

Isn't it obvious this is where half life 2's expansion pack with barney will start?

I must say though...i'd throughly enjoy an expansion pack about a barnacle. That would rock!

Wasn't there the remains of some poor chap all over the chair in that room? (If I remember correctly). Barney could have just said to the guard - "yeah - that's him there - or what's left of him"

No, the chair is empty. But you're assuming the other 'cops saw Gordon enter the room.

Barney could simply have said, "yes, he checked out - I let him go"
