does anyone know if marc laidlaw had everything that has happened in half life 1, 2 and beyond planned out from the beginning, or if he makes it up as he goes along? just curious.

Half-life 1 wasn't made with what happened in Hl2 planned. There is a Hl bible though, now, which I guess was made after. Or at least thats what I think...I can't remember.

He has some ideas about the universe in general and why things are the way they are, but they aren't set in stone, and he does change the storyline as required in order to be fun for people to play through the game (he said as such to do with Eli's leg being eaten by a bullsquid, for example).

You know that google still helps you to find things online right? On the 3rd site this guy has claimed to have uploaded the first 2 chapters of the bible onto his site... now I didn't look around as I don't care that much, not to mention that the guys site is a ****ing mess.
