Hello, this is a recent problem about a month or so old. Everytime i play on dust or dust2 ONLY THESE 2 MAPS my framerate drops to single digits, and my ping skyrockets to 999. On De_Dust it happens in ct spawn looking to the middle of the map and the hallway, and on the T side it lags when i look to the middle of the map, and going to the hallways. On De_Dust2 it happens at short A. When i look from bombsite A to Long A, and to Short A the game lags up like i described earlier. and from bombsite B looking to Mid/CT Spawn, and from T spawn looking to long A.
Ive isolated this problem to be something about the smoke/fog/dust call it what you will thats floating over Short A on dust2, and over the middle hallway on Dust. If anyone else has this, or a solution please let me know as i cant play dust or dust2 without my game lagging up when im in these spots on the map. EVERY OTHER MAP custom or stock is fine. its just THESE 2 MAPS.
so before people start telling me how crap my computer is or whatever just know ive been playing this game just fine since the netcafe beta program started on the same video card i bought specifically to play this game. This is a recent issue a month or so old. it only affects these 2 maps. its something about the dust/fog on those maps as it only lags up when i can see the smoke above these maps, and sometimes the smoke colors change and get red or green at times while im laggin up and looking at it.
i tried turning off hdr, and it seemed to work for dust1. but dust 2 is still the same problem. i dont think its hdr.
heres what im talking about.

heres looking at the problem area. i think its something to do with this smoke over this wall. when im looking towards LONG A it lags up. but...
