Street Views (Holy shit!)

Yeah, me and my friends noticed that the other day. We were all amazed. Its only major cities right now, but damn thats awesome. They seem to be going all out, what with a vehicle mounted panorama camera that takes pics ever second or so.

EDIT: But that video is LAME

This reminds me of Deja Vu, the idea that satellites are used to make 3D images of any building etc etc.

I don't know but it's sexy as hell. The street view thing is immense.
 
This is cool, the moving forward system kind of reminds me of point & click adventure games heh.
 
This is the shit, Google will take over the world if they continue in this direction.

I wonder when they will implement maps at night.

Then about 20 minutes later, spontaneously run up and kick him in the shin.

Hm, why the hell is there no "street view" button when I go to maps.google.com? I have to click the link to the video posted here, click the "go to street view" button and only then there it is, next to the "traffic" button.

That quote is just a complete disaster. Just as an example, I've heard that quote before from various sources and I was under the impression the quote was actually "No one will ever need more than 500MB of Hard Drive space"
