stuck at the bridge on highway 17

I'm at the bridge where you shoot the plug out to get across the barrier thing... but when I hit the button it said "Bridge Access Denied" what do I do you get the bridge access or where do I go from here? Thanks.

You need to backtrack under the bridge you came from and now you can take your buggy vehicle on the road ahead. If you pushed the button in the room then the barrier should be open.
