stuck in follow freeman (spoilers?)

ok, i've gone back a whole chapter and that didn't work, here's the situation (i tried searching, didn't see anything about this particular part)

i'm up on the building right below barney, who tells me to throw grenades at the snipers. i didn't kill the snipers on the way there (i did the first time, so went back and didn't kill them), but when i get up there, there's only one sniper shooting at me. i kill him with a grenade and walk around to find the other snipers. but the ones i didn't shoot the 2nd time around aren't there anymore, and barney won't stop telling me to grenade the snipers. i've even tried nocliping around looking for snipers, but didn't find any. can anyone help me?

Could be a bug?
There should only be two snipers he asks you to take out, I believe.

i kill the one that was shooting at those zombies, but there aren't any left. i've circled the building and nothing.

There were 2-3 snipers. 1-2 on the left when you come up the stairs and 1 strait ahead. I could be wrong as it's from memory.

go up the stairs. the one that is shooting at the zombies is not what barney is talking about. head up the stairs (its a blue corridor) and 2 more snipers will appear

They only appear when you go up stairs. Kind of a weird deal. I grenaded those windows like 50 times, then found the staircase, went up, and then their laser sights lit up from the windows.

That part was bad***! We need those sniper rifles with the blue laserbeams in HL2 MP!
