I say, another warm welcome to a newbie on the forums. I don't know how to say this any better, but eventually you'll trigger an attack that will cause an opening to appear (assuming I know where you are in the game - have you entered and exited the church yet?) Mill around a bit.

I assume that's where you fight the helicopter? It'll smash into the scaffolding, you'll see where to go next.

If it is after the helicopter part, and you're like me, you spend a really long time using wooden planks to build ramps up the scaffolding and climb over it very carefully to get where you need to be.... because you completely missed what just happened.

If you're normal and you want to finish that part in less than half an hour, follow bam23's advice.

He probably hasn't opened the church door yet...

Press your use key (default "E") to open it...That actually took me a while to figure out becuase the door was already half open, and I decided that since I couldn't use the awesome physics to PUSH OPEN THE BLOODY DOOR THAT WAS ALREADY OPEN A BIT, it must be blocked by something on the other side.

15 minutes later I try the E key and slap myself in the face :|
